Réal Bérard, in addition to his work as an illustrator at the Parks Division of the Ministry of Tourism, Recreation and Cultural Affairs of Manitoba, Real Berard finally occurs in canoeing maps he makes the last few years for the Division of provincial parks. The result of personal research, these cards provide him growing admiration of people everywhere, including that of Manitoba Historical Society which recently awarded him, partly for them, a medal of appreciation. In preparation, he traveled rivers and lakes, he asked the elders of these places: old trappers and Indians, the "Wolves of the North", it searches the messages. He appealed not only to his talent as an illustrator, his love of beauty, but also his love of nature and people, especially the "passengers" who in many cases, first explored these regions and that it reveals their history, their tools, their revenues and their songs of wheat Publishing and Credit Unions. | |

The CCFM gallery presents the recent works of visual artist Yvan LaFontaine, who probes the intangibility of water in an artistic approach on aquatic movement. “Water, with its reflections, transparency and depths, makes us dream. It buoys us up and carries us away; it takes us places. Water is the ideal backdrop for an exploration on memory, time and places,” says the artist. The exhibition features a series of works that combine traditional print-making techniques with new technologies. “In this production, I combine the power of the chiselled line with computer-generated images,” LaFontaine adds.
